Single-Side Seal Inspection Machine: No-Flip O-Ring Inspection (HZXX-JC03)
Single-side (non-flipping) visual inspection machine for rubber seals and O-rings: appearance and dimensional inspection with 3-16 cameras, OD 6-80 mm.
What This Machine Does
When only one face of your seal carries the critical surface - the sealing lip, the parting line - a non-flipping (single-side) machine inspects that face without adding a second station. That is what the HZXX-JC03 does: parts with OD 6-80 mm are placed and oriented on the glass turntable so the critical face is imaged, and the machine reports OK/NG on appearance and dimensions. Full details are on the HZXX-JC03 machine page (/products/hzxx-jc03-single-table-non-flipping-inspection).
Key Specifications at a Glance
Model: HZXX-JC03. Machine size: 1200 x 1200 x 1900 mm / 1300 x 1300 x 1900 mm / 1400 x 1500 x 1900 mm. Inspection targets: O-rings, P-rings, T-rings, rectangular rings, sealing rings, oil seals, flat washers, rubber miscellaneous parts. Dimension range: OD 6-80 mm, thickness 0.5-40 mm (customizable per size range). Camera configuration: 3-16 cameras for full appearance and dimensional inspection. Dimensional checks: ID, OD, wire diameter (add one camera for thickness). Visual checks: Short shots, pits, blocked holes, cracks, damage, burrs, mold residue, flow marks, impurities, scratches, dents, dimensions. Glass turntable: 800 mm (larger customizable). Repeatability: +/- 0.01 mm. Efficiency: 80-840 pcs/min (varies with product size and camera count).
All specifications above come from the Shengyi New Material (Huzhou) Co., Ltd. machine brochure and are confirmed per configuration at quotation.
Single-Side vs Dual-Side Inspection: Which Do You Need?
Decide by where the functional surface is:
• If the sealing lip, parting line or one molded face is what fails in service, single-side inspection is enough - the HZXX-JC03 fits here.
• If both faces are functional (for example, both sides seat against mating parts), you need the HZXXS02 dual-table inspection machine (/posts/hzxxs02-dual-table-inspection-machine), which turns the part over between stations.
• If you run a mixed family of materials and part shapes rather than seals only, the HZXX-JC01 standard single-table model (/posts/hzxx-jc01-single-table-inspection-machine) is the general-purpose platform; the HZXX-JC03 is the rubber-seal-focused non-flipping machine. Confirm with the factory which fits your part family.
The point of the non-flipping design: if only one face is critical and the part is within OD 6-80 mm, a single station does the job - fewer transfer steps, a smaller footprint, and no flip that could disturb orientation-sensitive parts.
What One-Side Inspection Does Not Cover
Be clear-eyed about the boundary: this machine inspects the face you present. Defects on the opposite face are out of view in a single pass. That is exactly why the dual-table HZXXS02 exists. If your failure history shows defects on both faces, specify dual-side up front rather than discovering the gap at sample validation.
Throughput: How Fast Does It Run?
The brochure lists 80-840 pieces per minute, varying with product size and camera count. Small parts with a lean camera setup run at the upper end; larger parts and richer inspection recipes run lower. Give the factory your throughput target with the part drawings so the configuration matches it.
What the Camera Count Means for You
The 3-16 camera configuration is not a fixed number; it scales with what you need to check. Fewer cameras cover a focused defect set; more cameras add coverage for full appearance inspection plus ID/OD/wire-diameter measurement. The factory confirms the exact count when your defect list and size range are known.
When Not to Choose This Machine
Not for parts that need both faces checked in one machine - choose the dual table HZXXS02 instead. Parts outside the OD 6-80 mm / thickness 0.5-40 mm range need a size-range customization check first.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which side does it inspect?
One face per pass - the single-side (non-flipping) face you present; parts are oriented so the critical face is imaged.
What parts fit?
O-rings and rubber seals with OD 6-80 mm and thickness 0.5-40 mm, customizable per size range.
Can it detect surface defects?
Yes - short shots, pits, cracks, burrs, scratches, dents and more, plus ID/OD/wire diameter measurement.
How many cameras do I need?
Between 3 and 16 depending on your defect list; the count is confirmed per configuration at quotation.
How fast does it run?
80-840 pcs/min depending on product size and camera count, per the brochure.
What to Prepare Before You Ask for a Quote
Prepare: part drawings with the OD and thickness range, the defect types you must catch on the critical face, and your throughput target. If you have mixed sizes, list them - the turntable and camera positions are confirmed against your actual part family. Still drafting your defect list? Start with how to define OK/NG defect criteria (/posts/defining-defects-ai-visual-inspection).
Next Step
Send samples of your single-face-critical parts together with the defect list. We configure an HZXX-JC03 around your size range and run a sample inspection before shipment. Contact the team (/contact-us) - Monica (+86 138 5726 5705) or Arya (+86 173 2430 9735), or email info@aivisioncheck.com.
